Gonna Get Fancy!

Well, I've decided that there are two different types of woman in the world. The ones like me who stay home raising kids, and of lately dogs, and wake every day to put on an old pair of jeans and sweater to make pancakes and then its outside for a little fresh air. Although motherhood is a very fulfilling job it rarely brings about the occasion to get "dressed up". Looking outside of my box there are women who actually have to get up, get "jazzed up" and go into the work place. For these women it often doesn't stop there. They often have business dinners and business travel. So as I have come to this realization I have decided I want to help them by creating the "perfect piece" to go along with their business attire and jet setting wardrobe. I am going to step it up and begin to make my jewelry with a little pizazz! I of course don't know if I will be good at this, since it is against my natural way but, I'm going to make the effort. A little glitz and sparkle will hopefully help me to "reach across the isle" and spark interest in the working woman that have to be somewhere every morning and are in contact with many people. Besides the mailman and occasional UPS driver many others will see her jewelry. I am planning a show (tentatively) 3 weeks before Mother's Day so hopefully I will have pieces that will appeal to a variety of lifestyles. So, stand by and wish me luck!

Something New

Well I did make a few new set of earrings in the last week and have already posted them on my shop but I think I want to try a different style. I really think button earrings are cute and really convenient for busy people in a hurry. I love drop earrings but I know some people are hesitant to wear them and since all of my earring sets are drop I think I will spice it up a little. I think My necklaces are bold enough that if you wanted to buy something to go with them it would have to be a little more subtle.

Now to break the news to my husband that I want to try something new AGAIN! hahaha that means more supplies! He is so wonderful and spoils me rotten so I know he will just laugh and nod! I do hope I sell something soon though. It gets a little discouraging when you have so many hits but no purchases. I'll get one soon.... I can feel it coming! OK, on to ordering more supplies! www.beppies.etsy.com

I think I've got it!

Well I think I finally kind of know what i'm doing with my etsy page. I have learned so much in the past few days it is amazing! I haven't blogged in a while now because it has just been crazy here so i haven't been able to get really educated on how to promote my shop. Well, I finally have a managable schedule with the kids and can finally give this a little more attention. Anyway, I've gotten to explore etsy a little more and have discovered the forums which have helped me tremendously! I have spent most of my time under the business topics and critiques. I also started a to twitter and from what I understand that helps to bring sales. Well, since I have gotten on the forums and twitter I still dont' have any sales but I have had lots of hits so I am happy with that at this point. It's all about networking and it's really fun! I also didn't realize I had to repost every couple of days to avoid getting pushed to the bottom. I guess it makes sense... it always costs money to make money. So hopefully this will generate some sales. Thanks for stopping by...wish me luck!

My first time as a blogger

Well this is my first time blogging so hopefully I am good at it. I have started a shop at etsy for my jewelry making. My web site is www.beppies@etsy.com. So far it is going well. Within the first 3 days of posting my pieces I had 2 sales. The only problem is that I am not very good at the marketing game so I'm hoping this will help. Before this past weekend I was only posting earrings but I have now posted necklaces as well. If you get a chance to take a look I would love some feedback.
